First stop: the village of Puerto Pérez (approx. 2 hours). This small municipality,was once an important trading port. Thecan try a dish of Wallake, a spicy fish soup served with chuños, for breakfast.served with chuños, for breakfast.After this short break, we head for the village of Belen Yayes (45 minutes)(Cumana on the map), the only point of entry to the peninsula. Here we cross a pre-Hispaniccenturies-old pre-Hispanic stone bridge, a haven for viscachas, also known as rabbits.also known as squirrel rabbits.From here, you can continue some sections by bike. The vehicle will besupport to save time on some sections. A passable track circles this peninsulathis peninsula in the middle of Lac mineur. The track is very quiet and pleasant.Our route will then take us to the small community of Pata Patani (20 minutes by car / 1 hour by bike).by car / 1 hour by bike), whose museum contains a strange mummy with an elongated skull.skull. If you're not cycling, you can take the boat directly from Puerto Pere toPata Patani by boat. TheTotora, the endemic reed of the Minor Lake (Wiñaymarka by its Aymara name), is the mainmain building material around the lake.Return to the hostel and free time to enjoy the small Quehuaya museum or climb to the top of the mountain overlooking the lake.go to the top of the mountain overlooking the village to enjoy the sunset.
